After a degree in Botany and Environmental Sciences from Sheffield University my garden design career started with Paul Temple, the founder of The Society of Garden Designers, in London in the early 1980s.

Since moving to mid-Wales in 1986 and further study at The English Garden School, I have worked widely either side of Offa's Dyke on a variety of garden design and restoration projects with a range of climatic and soil conditions.

With a passionate interest in our native flora, I have also carried out a wide range of botanical survey work as well as producing many natural woodland and meadow habitat creation and management plans.

I combine this knowledge of the associations of our native flora with those from around the world to create plant-packed, colourful and year-round interest gardens and borders.
